The event may be virtual, but the support and enthusiasm remains high. Virtual Pharmacy Days launches tomorrow, October 9, 2020
The annual CUW SOP Pharmacy Days career fair event will take place virtually tomorrow Friday, October 9, 2020. Over 30 employers will be in attendance to network on various platforms with CUW School of Pharmacy students.
Pharmacy Days is an annual event co-sponsored by the CUW SOP Office of Experiential Education and the Office of Student Affairs. Pharmacy Days is designed to expose CUW SOP students to the multitude of options available to students as they plan their pharmacy careers.
Networking includes virtual employer booths, and conversations about technician positions, internships, rotation offerings, residencies, and future career opportunities. All Concordia University Wisconsin P2, P3, and P4 students attend the event. Pre-pharmacy and P1 students have also been encouraged to attend.
This event is one of many efforts that attribute to Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy graduate employment rate. With a high job placement rate, students can be confident their degree from Concordia will lead to competitive jobs. CUW is student focused and career minded. CUW SOP scores 13% higher than the national average of pharmacy school graduates who fell “If I were starting my pharmacy program over again, I would choose the same School of Pharmacy.”
Two P4 students are giving case presentations about the completion of the Underserved Pharmacy Pathway (Emily Brekke and Sharon Dziengel). The students have worked hard to positively impact patients during their APPE rotations.
Employers provide valuable networking opportunities for our students. Pharmacy Days, and employer involvement, plays an integral in our students’ success, both during pharmacy school, and in post-graduation pharmacist careers. The School of Pharmacy is grateful for employer involvement and thanks those representatives for their participation in the event.
