The Women’s Leadership Institute at Concordia University Wisconsin will bring together women of different ages, backgrounds and skill levels when it convenes in Milwaukee for its national conference, September 29-October 1.

Gifted to Influence will be held at The Hyatt Regency Hotel, 333 West Kilbourn Avenue, featuring seminars by Gloria Nelund, chairman and CEO of TriLinc Global, and Gretchen Jameson, senior vice president of strategy & university affairs at Concordia.  Christian women looking to make an impact are encouraged to attend.  The cost for 20 engaging workshops, a buffet lunch and other meals is $199 per person, or $75 for undergraduates.

“This will be a great venue for accomplished Christian women to gather and mentor the next generation,” noted Darcy Paape, director of the Women’s Leadership Institute.  “We’re certain attendees will find workshops that encourage and develop those gifts in their workplaces and ministry,” added Paape, who also serves as a campus ministry assistant.

Nelund spent 30 years on Wall Street as one of the most visible and successful executives in the international investment management industry.  Co-founder of TriLinc Global, an investment firm dedicated to increasing private capital participation, she is a lifelong supporter of development-oriented philanthropic causes. Jameson, former director of public relations and corporate communications at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, founded her own public relations consultancy before coming to Concordia in 2014.  She oversees brand development and communications strategy for that campus, as well as Concordia University Ann Arbor, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Pressure Points, a pre-conference forum discussing the challenges of Christian leadership in the secular workplace, will be held from 9-3 p.m. on Friday, September 29.  Open to men and women of all professional backgrounds, attendees will gain insight and practical tools on how to cross-pollinate leadership skills with Christian values and principles.

The cost is $99 per person, including a buffet lunch, or $35 for undergraduate students.  Gifted to Influence attendees can attend Pressure Points for only $25.

The mission of the Women’s Leadership Institute, a servant institute of Concordia University Wisconsin, is to educate, encourage and equip women for Christian leadership in the home, church, workplace and world.
