Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) recently announced that Steven Taylor will be the new Vice President of Student Life, effective July 1. Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in history in 1998 and master’s degree in student personnel administration in 2001, both from Concordia.


He served as Hall Director at CUW from 1999 to 2002, Director of Residence Life from 2002 to 2005, and has been the Director of Financial Aid at the University since 2005.

Taylor envisions his new role to be one of engagement. He aspires to motivate all students to fully experience all Concordia has to offer while upholding the University’s mission to develop students for service to Christ in the Church and the world.

Originally from Midland, Mich., Taylor currently lives in West Bend with this wife and three children where they are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

The Division of Student Life includes the Dean of Students’ Office as well as the following Departments: Athletics, Counseling and Health Services, Residence Life, and Financial Aid.

Taylor’s predecessor, Dr. Sarah Holtan, has decided to return to a full-time faculty position at CUW.
