The Concordia Civic ChoraleThe Concordia Civic Chorale

Faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to join Concordia University Wisconsin students this school year in a newly formed choir, the Concordia Civic Chorale.

Singers in all voice parts are needed and welcome. No formal audition is required to participate.

The choir, under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Mark Bloedow, will rehearse from 7-9:30 p.m. most Mondays, beginning Sept. 12 through May, with a mid-season break after Christmas. Rehearsals will be held in the choir room, Rincker 106, at Concordia, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive in Mequon.

A schedule of performances will be provided at rehearsals. Performances will likely include concerts in November, Christmas at Concordia, a spring concert, and other special events.

Music selections will include classical choral masterworks, standard choral favorites, traditional and contemporary cantatas, lighter inspirational works, as well as collaborations with other musicians and ensembles.

To register and receive full details, contact Bloedow at mark.bloedow@cuw.edu or 262-243-4240. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
