It is always nice to have family in town, but it’s also always a nice plus when we are able to eat off campus with them as well. My brother, Zachary, and his wife, Anna, came to Wisconsin from Michigan this past weekend to hang out with us for a little bit. As Sunday rolled around, it was almost time that they were going to have to leave, but we were able to spend the morning with them which was still a fantastic time! First, we went to worship at First Immanuel in Cedarburg, which was Zach and Anna’s first time going with us there. We were able to hear the story of the Good Samaritan and get a fresh perspective on the story from Pastor Kelm. They also had an infant baptism, which is always such a treat to see a child of God becoming part of the family! After worship, we wanted to get brunch somewhere, so we hit up the local pancake house called PJ Piper’s Pancake House. I have not been there before but I have heard some wonderful things about it! So we were able to go there, have some time to talk while we were waiting for a table, and continue our conversation over some pancakes, skillets, waffles, fruit, hash browns, and so much more. I highly recommend this place in Cedarburg for any visitors! Sadly, again, this was our last day, so they had to leave shortly after. But family plus worship and a little food is always going to make a Sunday a wonderful day, no matter the rainy weather!
