End of the Semester

The end of the semester and finals week is creeping closer. It can really sneak up on you, but if you prepare yourself and do not procrastinate, you’ll be on top of everything and it’ll be a breeze. Don’t let finals freak you out. Everyone survives them, and you can too!

Turn Down for Dancing

Last year, our school formal, Dancing Through the Decades, was an absolute blast! I was a little skeptical about it because I didn’t like dances back in high school, but I wanted to try it out in college (plus my girlfriend was going, so I decided I would tag along!). Since it was so fun the previous year, I was pretty excited about it this year as well. more “Turn Down for Dancing”

Worship and Breakfast

It is always nice to have family in town, but it’s also always a nice plus when we are able to eat off campus with them as well. My brother, Zachary, and his wife, Anna, came to Wisconsin from Michigan this past weekend to hang out with us for a little bit. As Sunday rolled around, it was almost time that they were going to have to leave, but we were able to spend the morning with them which was still a fantastic time! more “Worship and Breakfast”

Driving Range

I had never before been to a driving range, and, honestly, I never saw myself every going to one either. However, my boyfriend asked me to go and the weather was so nice, so I thought I would give it a try. I am a fairly coordinated person, and I like to try new things. The driving range is a mere mile drive from the parking structure to their parking lot. You almost don’t even need to drive when there is such nice weather. It is at the corner of the road that the school is located on, so it would be near impossible to miss it. The prices are pretty cheap (or at least that is what I’m assuming, considering I have nothing to compare it to in my nonexistent experience with driving ranges). more “Driving Range”

The Hiding Place

Finals week is approaching and some serious studying needs to be done. There are papers, tests, and, of course, the finals themselves. There are tons of great places on campus to study, but getting off campus is a great way to shake things up. There is this super cool, “secret” coffee hangout called The Hiding Place. Coffee and caffeine are the driving forces of the college experience, and it is amazing when it can be gotten cheap. At The Hiding Place, they have cheap coffee and variety of options, most for a dollar or less, and it is run by CUW students in a church basement about five minutes away from campus. more “The Hiding Place”

Summer Internships

Finding a summer internship is not an easy process, but with careful planning, being open, and trusting God, they are amazing blessings!
