Dr. Paul Copan will keynote the Biblical Ethics Conference at Concordia University.

A Biblical Ethics Conference Friday and Saturday, March 2-3 will aim to inform pastors, lay people and youth about the interaction between today’s world and biblical ethics.


This annual Concordia Apologetics Conference is being held in the Pharmacy 008 lecture hall on the university’s main campus, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive.  Registration begins at 5 p.m. Friday, with the first plenary session scheduled for 6:15 p.m.

Dr. Paul H. Copan, Pledger Family Chair of Philosophy and Ethics at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida, will deliver the main keynote.  Dr. Copan earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from Marquette University, and is the author of over 30 books. Dr. Kevin Voss, director of the Concordia Center for Bioethics, and Dr. Nathan Jastram, a professor of theology at Concordia, will also keynote.

Two plenary sessions, two breakout sessions and a noon lunch will highlight Saturday’s activities from 9-4:30 p.m.  The cost to attend the conference is $50, and only $8 for college and high school students.  Exhibitor tickets, costing $100, are being reserved by Steven Krycho, via steven.krycho@cuw.edu.  Breakout speakers include Concordia professors Dr. Jason Lane, Dr. Gary Locklair, Dr. Angus Menuge, and Dr. Jason Soenksen.
