Concordia University Wisconsin's upcoming Leadership Series Breakfast on Thursday, June 6, will feature Jack Salzwedel, chairman and CEO of Madison-based American Family Insurance.

The semiannual event, being presented this time by PNC Bank, will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. in Siebert Dining Hall, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon. The Stollenwerk Family Foundation and Seider Heating, Plumbing and Electrical are supporting sponsors.

Elected Chairman and CEO in 2011, Salzwedel will speak on “The American Family Story.” In his current role (he began his career with the company in 1983 as a claim adjuster) he oversees the American Family enterprise of companies. A board member of the Property and Casualty Insurers Association of America, along with the Insurance Information Institute, Salzwedel holds a seat on the U.S. Bank Advisory Board among other professional organizations.

An avid social media advocate, Salzwedel was named by CEO.com to be one of the most engaged Fortune 500 CEOs on Twitter.

Concordia’s Leadership Series was founded to recognize and encourage ethical leadership principles, while providing networking opportunities for business and community leaders. Past speakers for this long-standing series have included sports dignitaries from around the state, including former head coaches of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Wisconsin Badgers, and business leaders in southeastern Wisconsin.

The cost for individual attendees is $30, with corporate tables of eight available for $300 which include the company’s name in the program and table signs. Supporting sponsorships are available for $2,000 and include two tables of eight and a pre-event meet and greet, among other benefits.
